Liverpool’s tried and trusted front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino all scored during Tuesday’s 5-1 victory over Porto in the Champions League, the first time that the trio have all netted in over eight months.

The three stars, who have spearheaded the Reds’ attack for the past three seasons, are all still regular in Jurgen Klopp’s line ups and look set to continue to do so, despite the signing of Diego Jota.

Now, however, it appears that Liverpool are already looking ahead and planning for the future, with a young winger on their radar.

Danjuma has impressed since joining Villarreal.

As per Metro, Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma has attracted interest from Klopp’s side, having impressed in the early weeks of the La Liga season.

The former Bournemouth man has scored twice in five league games so far, and also scored in the club’s 2-2 draw with Atalanta in the opening round of Champions League matches.

The report states that Liverpool will send a scout to watch Danjuma in the Spanish side’s game against Manchester United on Wednesday.

According to the report, the Merseyside club have been ‘particularly charmed’ by the player, who they perceive to be a potential long-term successor to Mane.

While Liverpool may hold an interest in the player, his desire to leave his current club is unknown and the La Liga side may be reluctant to sell a player that they have only recently signed.
