Liverpool will take to the field as Premier League champions when they visit Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Arne Slot’s side secured the top flight title with a thumping 5-1 victory over struggling Tottenham Hotspur last time out, winning the competition for just the second time in the club’s history.

The Reds could amass a total of 94 points if they win their remaining four matches, and Slot will be confident about his side’s chances of leaving Stamford Bridge with all three points as they face a Chelsea side that have been underwhelming of late.

Away from the action, it appears that Liverpool are prepared to sell one of their attackers this summer.

As per CaughtOffside, the Merseyside outfit have set an asking price of around £45 million for Diogo Jota.

The 28-year-old joined the Reds from Wolves in 2020 and has since played 179 times for the club across all competitions, scoring 65 goals and registering 24 assists.

Jota could be allowed to leave Liverpool this summer

He has struggled with injuries throughout his time on Merseyside, though, including this season during which he has already missed 15 games.

Jota remains a useful squad player for Slot but has started just 13 Premier League matches so far this season, and the club are therefore considering allowing him to leave during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Portuguese – who has scored nine goals this season – is under contract until the end of the 2026/27 season, but the report suggests that Liverpool could consider selling him this summer if a suitable offer is tabled.

Jota’s former side Wolves – as well as fellow Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Newcastle United – are all said to be interested in signing the Portugal international.

Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are all also credited with an interest in the forward, who can play centrally or on the left flank.
