Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be working hard to add further new signings to his squad after capturing Alexis Mac Allister.

The Argentina international joined from Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month, but the Reds boss will be keen to add further reinforcements following the departures of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner.

In the meantime, though, it appears that Liverpool have allowed one of their current stars to leave the club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, youngster Fabio Carvalho has agreed to join German side RB Leipzig on a season-long loan deal.

The Portuguese only joined the Reds from Fulham last summer, but he will spend next term on loan in the Bundesliga.

Romano claims that the move is a straight forward loan deal with no option or obligation to buy, suggesting that Carvalho will return to Anfield at the end of the upcoming campaign.

Last term, the 20-year-old made 21 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals including two in 13 Premier League matches.

Carvalho competed with the likes of Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones for first team opportunities in Klopp’s side, but he will now move to Leipzig in a bid to secure more regular opportunities.

The Portugal under-21 international endured a successful spell with former club Fulham, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in 44 matches for the Cottagers as a teenager before joining Liverpool.

It is claimed that all of the relevant documents have been signed and the deal completed, with official confirmation from the two clubs expected imminently.

Carvalho is able to play in a number of different positions including central midfield, on the left flank or as an attacking midfielder.

His versatility will therefore appeal to Leipzig, while Liverpool will look to benefit from the player experiencing an increase in his first team opportunities.
