Copa America hosts face Brazil in a friendly on Thursday morning, in their final game before the tournament starts next week. 

Brazil are among the favourites to lift the trophy next month, with a number of Premier League stars in Dorival Junior’s squad for the tournament.

Among them is Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, who has recently returned to fitness after missing parts of of the recent season through injury.

Alisson made his international return during a 3-2 win over Mexico on Monday, it has now emerged that the ‘keeper has rejected a lucrative move away from Anfield.

According to Football Insider, the 31-year-old has snubbed the chance to move to the Saudi Arabian Pro League.

The report claims that Pro League side Al-Nassr had made an attempt to sign the Brazil international as they search for a new ‘keeper, but Alisson himself has rejected the proposal and is intent on staying put on Merseyside.

Alisson missed the latter part of last season due to injury

Alisson joined the Reds from Italian side Roma in 2018 and has since established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in world football.

In total he has made more than 260 appearances for the club across all competitions, keeping 114 clean sheets.

He has also won no fewer than seven trophies during his time at Anfield, including the Champions League and Premier League.

Last season, the Brazilian missed more than ten Premier League matches due to a hamstring injury.

Alisson’s current contract with Liverpool is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.

The report claims that, having failed to lure Alisson away from Merseyside, Al-Nassr have now turned their attention to Juventus ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny.
