Liverpool will be hoping to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League when they face Burnley on Saturday.

The Reds currently sit two points clear of reigning champions Manchester City, who could move into top spot with victory over Everton in Saturday’s early kick-off.

If City do beat the Toffees, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be able to move back into first place with victory over the Clarets at Anfield.

Lat time out, Liverpool suffered defeat at the hands of title rivals Arsenal, and Klopp will therefore be desperate to see his side improve next time out.

The Merseyside will once again be without talisman Mohamed Salah, though, after the Egyptian suffered an injury while on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Now, though, it appears that Liverpool may have been handed a boost.

According to Football Insider, the Egypt forward is in no rush to depart Anfield and could even commit his future to Liverpool.

Salah could stay put at Anfield despite interest from Saudi Arabia

Salah, 31, was the subject of intense interest from Saudi Arabian clubs last summer, with Al-Ittihad launching a £150 million offer for the player.

The bid was rejected, but the Pro League side are still interested in Salah and could return with an improved offer this summer.

Despite this, the report claims that the player himself is keen to stay put and compete at the highest level for as long as possible.

Salah joined the Reds from Italian side Roma back in 2017, and has since scored a remarkable 204 goals in 332 matches for the club across all competitions.

He has also provided 88 assists, as well as winning seven trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.

The Egyptian’s current deal is set to run until the summer of 2025.
