Liverpool have reportedly made a club-record offer for Slovenia international goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who lost 3-1 to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final late last month, have been linked with a mega money move for the Atletico Madrid star this summer.

The 25-year-old, who has 18 international caps for his country, recorded an impressive 29 clean sheets in 49 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit this season.

Oblak, who joined Atletico back in July 2014 following his reported €16m switch from Benfica, has kept 93 shut-outs in just 162 games overall for Diego Simeone’s side.

The report claims Liverpool have launched a whopping £79m bid for the Slovenia shot stopper, surpassing The Reds’ club-record fee for a signing, which stands at £75m for defender Virgil van Dijk earlier this year.

Plus, Don Balon suggests Liverpool are confident the Spaniards will accept their enormous offer for the goalkeeper, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp keen on signing a new No.1 ‘keeper this summer, following Loris Karius’ disastrous Champions League final errors.
