Liverpool will be hoping to return to winning ways when they face rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby on Saturday.

The Toffees arrive at Anfield to face a Liverpool side that started the season strongly, but are without a win in their past two Premier League matches.

Jurgen Klopp’s side remain fourth in the table, though, and sit just three points behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

The Merseyside outfit were busy during the recent summer transfer window, overhauling their midfield with several new signings including Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Despite bolstering his squad over the summer, the German could be tempted to dip into the market once again in January, especially with one of his targets reportedly keen on a move.

According to 90min, Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko is keen to leave his current club on loan when the transfer window reopens in the new year.

The report claims that Liverpool are long-term admirers of the two-time Germany international, while fellow Premier League sides Wolves and Brentford are also credited with an interest.

Moukoko, 18, is a product of Dortmund’s youth academy and became the youngest player in the club’s history when he made his debut the day after his 16th birthday during the 2020/21 campaign.

In total he has made 78 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists.

He is yet to start a match for the German side this season, though, and is reportedly therefore keen to secure a loan move away from the club in January.

It is claimed that the teenager is hoping to find a move away from the club for the second part of the season in a bid to secure his place in the Germany squad for Euro 2024 next year.

The youngster was named in the squad for the World Cup last year, but played just one minute as Germany were knocked out of the competition at the group stage.
