Liverpool moved level on points with Premier League leaders Arsenal courtesy of a 3-1 win over Fulham on Sunday.

Trent Alexander-Arnold gave the visitors the lead at Craven Cottage, before Timothy Castagne equalised on the stroke of half-time.

Midfielder Ryan Gravenberch restored the Reds’ lead, and Diogo Jota added a third to ensure victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The result keeps alive Liverpool’s hopes of winning the Premier League title in Klopp’s final season in charge, with the German set to leave his role this summer.

Off the pitch, those in charge of the club are working hard ahead of the summer transfer window, and it appears that they have identified a possible target.

According to Tuttosport via TEAMtalk, the Merseyside outfit are interested in Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

Chiesa has emerged as a target for Liverpool

The report claims that Liverpool could move for Chiesa if they decide to sell talisman Mohamed Salah, who has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia.

The Egyptian was the subject of a £150 million offer from Al-Ittihad last summer, and the Pro League side are expected to make another move for Salah this summer, with the forward entering into the final year of his contract.

If he does depart Anfield, Liverpool could look to sign Chiesa, who is in talks with the Serie A side over an extension to his current deal which runs until 2025.

The Italian joined Juventus from Fiorentina on a two-year loan deal in 2020, and made his move permanent in 2022.

In total he has played 124 times for the club across all competitions, scoring 30 goals and providing 24 assists.

The Italy international is said to currently earn around £150,000-per-week, but the report claims that he is aware a move to Merseyside would likely earn him a significant wage rise.
