Liverpool can extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they face Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit top of the table, two points clear of reigning champions Manchester City, and could move five points clear with victory over the Cherries.

The Reds are currently without forward Mohamed Salah who is on international duty with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, and Klopp will have watched on in horror as the star was forced off due to injury against Ghana on Thursday.

Salah is now set to miss Egypt’s next two games in the competition, but Klopp will be hopeful that he will be fully fit by the time he returns to Anfield.

It appears, though, that Liverpool are set for another battle to keep hold of the Egyptian this summer.

Salah, 31, was the subject of intense interest from clubs in the Saudi Arabian Pro League last summer, and 90min claims that he will be so once again this summer.

Having joined the Reds from Italian side Roma in 2017, Salah has since established himself as one of the best players in the world.

He has scored a remarkable 204 goals in 332 games for Liverpool across all competitions, as well as registering 88 assists.

During his time on Merseyside so far, Salah has won no fewer than seven trophies including the Champions League and Premier League.

The report claims that Saudi sides will once again move for the player this summer, with Al-Ittihad having had a £150 million bid for the player rejected last year.

Salah became the focus of intense interest from Al-Ittihad in the final days of last summer’s window, but Liverpool stood firm and rejected the interest.

The player has now entered into the final 18 months of his current contract, though, and Liverpool could therefore consider cashing in on the Egyptian this year.
