Liverpool secured the Premier League title with a resounding 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Arne Slot’s side knew that a point would be enough to win the competition for just the second time in history, but the hosts fell behind at Anfield when Dominic Solanke headed Spurs in front.

The Reds weren’t behind for long, though, with Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo all scoring before the break to put the hosts in a commanding lead.

Mohamed Salah netted his 33rd goal of the campaign after the break, before Destiny Udogie put through his own net to cap an embarrassing defeat for the Lilywhites and spark wild celebrations on Merseyside.

Liverpool have been boosted in recent weeks by the news that both Salah and Virgil van Dijk have signed new contracts, putting an end to months of speculation surrounding the pair’s future.

Now, it appears that the club are ready to reward another key player with a new deal.

As per TBR Football, Liverpool are planning to begin talks with midfielder Ryan Gravenberch about a new contract.

Gravenberch could be in line for a new contract after an impressive campaign

The Dutchman joined the Reds from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 and played something of a bit-part role during his debut season in England, starting just 12 Premier League games.

This season, however, the 22-year-old has established himself as one of Slot’s most important players.

The Netherlands international has played 48 times across all competitions this term, starting every one of the Reds’ Premier League matches.

Gravenberch is currently contracted to Liverpool until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, but the report suggests that Liverpool are hoping to offer the player a new deal with improved terms as a reward for his fine form this season.
