Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a move for Gabon international superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Express.

The Premier League side, who thrashed newly promoted Brighton and Hove Albion 5-1 at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, have been linked with a mega money move for Borussia Dortmund’s star striker ahead of the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old, who has 56 international caps for his country, has impressively scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.

Aubameyang, who signed for Dortmund back in July 2013 following his move from French side Saint-Etienne, has netted a remarkable 137 times in 208 games overall for the club, winning two German Supercups and one German Cup.

The report suggests Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, who worked with the Gabonese gem at Dortmund before arriving at Anfield in October 2015, wants a reunion with the free scoring forward, and is keen on securing his signature in the New Year market.

Premier League rivals Chelsea are also said to be interested in Aubameyang’s services, who is valued at £58.5m by transfermarkt.
