The £29m summer buy from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim has finally started to show exactly why Liverpool splashed out so much money on the forward back in June 2015.

The 24-year-old; who has 11 international caps for Brazil, has scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 25 league games for Jurgen Klopp’s side, becoming the Reds’ most attacking threat following striker Christian Benteke’s underwhelming debut term at Anfield.

Name: Nathaniel Clyne
Position: Defender

Yet another Liverpool newbie should be in the running for the Premier League club’s Player of the Season gong as right-back Clyne has hit the ground running since his £12.5m switch from Southampton last summer.

The 24-year-old, who is in contention to be included in England’s squad to compete at Euro 2016 this summer in France, has scored two goals and provided two assists in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Anfield outfit this campaign.

Name: James Milner
Position: Midfielder

Fellow Three Lions teammate Milner has also demonstrated a great display of consistency throughout the majority of the 2015-16 season, so far.

The 30-year-old is a tireless engine in Liverpool’s combative midfield area and was an important member of the first-team squad during captain Jordan Henderson’s injury lay-off(s), plus he has chipped in with five league goals and seven assists to boost Klopp’s men’s pursuit of European football again next term.
