Liverpool tracking Bundesliga starlet

Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Schalke prodigy Leroy Sane.

The Premier League side, who climbed to ninth in the table following their 3-2 victory over Aston Villa at the weekend, are still interested in the young winger – despite already having an approach for the forward turned down by the German club.

The 19-year-old, who was reportedly the subject of a £11m bid from the Reds during the summer transfer window, has already scored three goals in nine appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit this season.

Apart from England Under-21 winger Jordan Ibe; Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is lacking wideman at Anfield following the £49m departure of Raheem Sterling to Manchester City over the summer.
