Liverpool tracking Serie A’s £22m-rated defender

Liverpool are reportedly mulling over whether to make a January move for Colombia international defender Jeison Murillo.

The Premier League outfit, who slumped to a surprise 3-0 defeat at Watford on Sunday, are interested in Inter Milan’s £22m-rated centre-half ahead of the New Year transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who has seven international caps for his country, has scored one goal in 14 league games for Roberto Mancini’s Serie A side so far this season.

However Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, who have failed to win a league game this month, face stiff competition for Murillo’s signature in La Liga giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
