Liverpool are reportedly lining up a summer swoop for Netherlands international defender Bruno Martins Indi, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who stunningly defeated Arsenal 4-3 inside the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, have been linked with luring the FC Porto centre-half to Anfield ahead of deadline day (August 31).

The 24-year-old, who has 31 international caps for his country, made 34 appearances in all competitions for the Liga NOS outfit last season.

Martins Indi, who began his professional career at Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord, is wanted by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp as the Dutch star can operate at both centre-half and left-back – potentially solving the German’s worries over the form of full-back Alberto Moreno.

The FC Porto defender arrived at the Portuguese giants back in July 2014 for a reported £6.5m and still has two years left on his current deal.
