Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a bid for Guinea international star Naby Keita, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who finished fourth in the English top-flight last term, qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, have been linked with a mega-money move for the highly-rated RasenBallsport Leipzig midfielder this summer.

The 22-year-old, who has 25 international caps for his country, scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit last season.

Keita, who only joined the German club from Red Bull Salzburg last summer, is understood to be valued at a whopping £70m.

And despite the club being determined to keep hold of the Guinean gem before their first Champions League campaign in 2017-18, the report suggests Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are ready to test RB Leipzig’s resolve of the central midfielder.

Liverpool have already completed a club-record deal to sign ex-Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah from AS Roma earlier this month, for around £37m.
