Liverpool enquired about the availability of England midfielder Jude Bellingham last month but were told that the player is not for sale, according to reports.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the Reds asked Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund about the possibility of signing Bellingham, but were told that the player is considered ‘untouchable’.

Liverpool’s enquiry was last month, Romano suggests, but they were told that a deal for the Englishman this summer would be impossible.

Dortmund were not prepared to sell Bellingham this summer

Dortmund have already lost striker Erling Haaland to Manchester City, and were unwilling to lose another of their biggest stars during the same transfer window.

Bellingham, 19, joined Dortmund from Birmingham City back in 2020 and has since established himself as one of the German side’s most important players.

The midfielder made 44 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund last term, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists.
