Liverpool are reportedly ready to cough up €18m in their bid to sign Germany international Kevin Volland this summer, according to Sport Bild (via Liverpool Kop).

The Premier League side, who currently sit ninth in the standings following last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to the hands of Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium, have been linked with a move for the Hoffenheim forward once the current 2015-16 campaign has concluded.

The 23-year-old, who has five international caps for his country and could feature for the reigning world champions at Euro 2016 later this year in France, has scored seven goals and provided eight assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.

Volland, who is understood to have an €18m release clause in his current deal, has been watched by Reds scouts throughout this term.

The report suggests that Jurgen Klopp’s side are ready to trigger the winger’s buy-out clause this summer as the German boss begins his squad overhaul at Anfield.
