Troy Parrott’s late goal earned the Republic of Ireland a 2-1 victory over Hungary on Tuesday night.

The hosts went ahead through Adam Idah, before Adam Lang pulled one back for Hungary.

The match looked to be heading for a draw, before Parrott broke late on and put Ireland in front.

Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher played for John O’Shea’s side, amid speculation that his time at Anfield could soon be coming to an end.

Now, it appears that the Reds are already searching for the goalkeepers’ replacement.

As per Football Insider, Liverpool have started searching for a new goalkeeper with Kelleher expected to depart the club this summer.

The 25-year-old has been with Liverpool since his early teens, but has never established himself as the Reds’ first choice ‘keeper.

Kelleher is expected to leave Liverpool this summer

In total he has made just 47 appearances for the club across all competitions, and the report claims that he is now ready to move elsewhere in a bid to secure regular first team football.

Scottish giants Celtic have expressed an interest in the Irishman, and it is claimed that Premier League clubs could also join the race to sign Kelleher.

His current contract with Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, but the Merseyside outfit could cash in on him during the upcoming transfer window.

Despite Celtic’s interest in the Ireland international, the report suggests that the Scottish giants will struggle to meet Liverpool’s valuation of Kelleher and are reluctant to spend more than £10 million on the player.

As well as Kelleher, Liverpool’s third-choice ‘keeper, Adrian, is also expected to leave Anfield when his contract expires at the end of the month.
