Top of the Premier League, six wins in their last seven games, and just one defeat all season – Liverpool fans must be thrilled with their team’s efforts so far this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s side ascended to the top of the pile courtesy of a 6-1 thumping of Watford on Sunday, with his front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Philippe Coutinho once again proving a handful for a Premier League defence.

It was the Reds’ sixth win in seven league games, and their eighth win of the season in the league, leaving them a point clear of Antonio Conte’s Chelsea in second.

Klopp’s men are the league’s top-scorers with 30 goals, four clear of the next best Chelsea, and go into the international break having lost just one match in all competitions this season, which was a frustrating 2-0 defeat at Burnley back in August.

A run to the League Cup quarter-finals has also given the Liverpool faithful hope of some early silverware this season, and they’ll fancy their chances of progressing to the last four when they host Leeds at the end of November.

Their stunning start to the season has got many speculating on who should be in Klopp’s starting eleven, so here we have picked the best Liverpool XI from their opening 11 Premier League games…
