Roberto Firmino’s incredible form so far this season has rightly kept Daniel Sturridge rooted to the substitute’s bench.

The 25-year-old has five goals and three assists in the first 11 Premier League games, and is capable of playing anywhere across the front three.

The freedom afforded to them by the midfield trio behind is bringing the best out of Firmino, who also works extremely hard off the ball, and does defensive duties surprisingly well.

He stretches defences and keeps defenders guessing. When he’s in this form, he is a nightmare to play against.
