Adam Lallana has been crucial to Liverpool’s success this season, and his importance to England cannot be underestimated.

The former Southampton midfielder ran the show against Scotland on Friday, and then performed brilliantly in the first 25 minutes against Spain before injury cut short his evening.

His through-ball towards Jamie Vardy to set up the opener was sensational, and his coolness from the penalty spot was demonstrative of a player full of confidence on the field.
