Lyon have joined Newcastle and Everton in the race to sign Ryad Boudebouz.

According to a report on talkSPORT the Montpellier midfielder is attracting growing attention after Swansea had a bid in January rejected.

Boudebouz has struck a rich run of form with 11 goals in 34 Ligue 1 matches this season despite his club hovering just above the relegation zone.

After a run of the mill career Montpellier are ready to cash in on the 27-year-old with a fee of £8.5m or 10m euro certain to secure a deal.

Rafa Benitez has had his scouts on the look out for emerging talents with Newcastle having extensive connections across French football.

At Everton Ronald Koeman has been frustrated by his side’s failure to nail down signing targets and is looking to move in quickly for targets as soon as the transfer window opens.

With the riches on offer in the Premier League it’s unlikely that Lyon will be able top match the terms on offer to Boudebouz for switching to England.
