Lyon star sparks Arsenal and Spurs bidding war

Rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both reportedly bidding to land Lyon star Clinton N’Jie.

The North London duo are both interested in signing the 21-year-old forward after featuring for the Ligue 1 outfit in the Emirates Cup earlier this month.

Cameroonian N’Jie, who has 11 international caps, scored eight goals in 33 appearances in all competitions last season for Lyon.

It is understand that Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have already lodged a £7m bid last week for the French club’s prized asset, although Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is set to surpass his rivals’ offer before the close of the transfer window.
