Major boost for Chelsea as Olivier Giroud drops hint about his playing future, according to the Express

At the age of 34, France international Giroud still has so much to offer Chelsea in the Premier League and in European matches  when leading the line.

Of all the players to score five or more goals in the year of 2020, Giroud managed a goal every 106 minutes on average, the best return in the league.

Remarkably, the World Cup winner always seems to find a way to find the net, and did so four times in a Champions League Group Stage match away at Sevilla earlier this term.

Werner is not scoring as many goals as he would have hoped.

Despite some rumours that Giroud could be seeking a way out of the Blues, but it seems that good news could be on the cards for Chelsea fans, as the Express report the striker could be staying at Stamford Bridge.

At the moment, that could be the welcome news that manager Frank Lampard needs with both summer signings Timo Werner and Kai Havertz struggling to score and create goals on a regular basis.
