Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez has spoken out about his future amid interest from Premier League outfit Everton, according to AS (via The Liverpool Echo).

The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign with the La Liga side, netting 14 goals in 30 league games to help the club to 11th place in the Spanish top-flight, 15 points clear of the relegation zone.

This term has represented a fine response from the Spaniard after struggling for gametime and goals at Barcelona, which forced him to secure a move to Malaga last summer, and thus finally show what he is capable of.

And it’s form which has attracted interest from several clubs around Europe, with Ronald Koeman’s Everton and Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid reportedly eyeing up a summer move.

However, the Spanish giants have been hit with a transfer ban for this upcoming window, leaving the Toffees in pole position to land Sandro, yet the forward himself has spoken out about his future, insisting he is focusing solely on the present, albeit confirming that he has a release clause in his contract.

He said: ‘It’s true that I have a low clause, but right now I am still a Malaga player and I want to focus on the national team.

‘I am in no rush to sign for a big club.

‘I try to avoid all they’re saying about me.’

These comments are sure to interest Everton fans and indeed manager Koeman, with Sandro confirming his clause but also refusing to rule out a move this summer.

And with the Toffees likely to lose star striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, their attacking ranks will need significantly bolstering, and following a fine campaign in another of Europe’s top leagues, Sandro could be the man they need to either fill Lukaku’s boots, or indeed provide adequate competition should the Belgian international stay.
