Nike have revealed Manchester City’s away kit for the 2015-16 season.
Modelled by new £49 million signing Raheem Sterling, the strip is inspired by Manchester City’s passionate legion of fans and their proud singing of the club’s anthem, as the shirt carries a print of the moon at night on both sleeves.
The kit also features:
– Sleeves that detail lunar graphics in shades of blue, while the rest of the kit draws together shades of the color to create a distinctive and stylish aesthetic
– The laser-cut ventilation holes and mesh panels in key areas of the kit are designed to improve performance by increasing air circulation to the players’ bodies and helping regulate their temperatures
– Each piece of the kit – the shirt, shorts and socks – is constructed with recycled polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles that are melted down to produce fine yarn used to create the fabric
The away kit was hand delivered to the players by Nike Football App user, Louie Joyce, who travelled to Australia to meet up with the squad during their pre-season tour, the team will debut the kit on July 24 in Melbourne, Australia, in front of almost 100,000 fans.
