Man City and Chelsea ready to battle over 39-goal hitman

Man City and Chelsea are in the running to land a deal for wantaway Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports from Spanish publication, Don Balon.

The Gabon international has made his intentions to leave the German outfit quite clear in recent months, however has always stated that it is a dream of his to play for Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

That dream may have to be put on hold though as the Galacticos are under transfer embargo until 2018, meaning that the door is open to other top clubs who want to make a move.

With that in mind, it seems Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has joined his Sky Blues counterpart, Pep Guardiola, in taking an interest in the striker, who scored 39 goals across 49 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund last season.

The West London club have made a shaky start to the season, and aren’t where Conte would have hoped to have been at this stage, whilst the blue half of Manchester will want a world class partner for Sergio Aguero.
