Manchester City are considering a move for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, just a month after they sold Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Gunners.

City let the Ukrainian go and have so far failed to replace him, meaning that Pep Guardiola now faces having to play the first half of the season with Joao Cancelo as a makeshift left-back.

The Portuguese did play on the left for large parts of last season, but is naturally a right-back and Guardiola is desperate to replace Zinchenko before the transfer window shuts at the start of September.

Tierney is being watched by the Premier League champions

As per 90min, the Premier League champions are considering a move for Scottish international Tierney.

The ex-Celtic man has impressed since moving south of the border, but now faces competition for his starting spot following the arrival of Zinchenko.

While Zinchenko started Arsenal’s season opener at left-back with Tierney out injured, the report claims that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta plans to play the Ukraine international in his preferred midfield role, which would allow the pair to play together.

City have a number of options shortlisted as potential candidates for the role but, having already missed out on Marc Cucurella, are seemingly running out of time to get a deal done.
