Erling Haaland marked his 100th appearance for Manchester City with his 91st goal for the club when they faced Chelsea on Sunday.

The Norwegian has boasted a remarkable record throughout his senior career, but his statistics since arriving at The Etihad in the summer of 2022 are arguably his best.

Having scored 29 times in 27 games for Red Bull Salzburg and 86 times in 89 matches for German side Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has since netted a staggering 64 goals in 67 Premier League games for City, as well as registering 12 assists.

The Norway international will hope to improve on his tally of 27 league goals that he managed last term, and he got off to the perfect start when putting City ahead at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Despite Haaland’s scintillating scoring record, it appears that the Citizens are still hoping to sign two more forwards before the end of the current transfer window.

As per Football Insider, City are hoping to follow the imminent acquisition of Divin Mubama by signing another forward.

Mubama recently left West Ham and is expected to join Man City imminently

19-year-old Mubama is currently without a club after leaving West Ham United at the end of June, but City are expected to announce the signing of the teenager in the coming days.

Mubama departed the Hammers having scored just once in 18 senior appearances for the club, but he is now expected to join Manchester City’s under-21 squad and occasionally train with Pep Guardiola’s first team.

Once that deal is done, the report suggests that City will look to sign an experienced striker who will act as back-up for Haaland.

It is claimed that the club have already opened initial talks as they search for a new forward, with a list of potential targets being drawn up.

Earlier this summer, City sold Argentine attacker Julian Alvarez to Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Since then, Guardiola has been handed a double injury blow with both Oscar Bobb and Savinho set to be sidelined for the foreseeable.
