Manchester City travel to face Liverpool on Sunday in a game that could prove crucial in deciding the Premier League title race.

The Citizens currently sit a single point behind the league leaders, and Pep Guardiola’s recent record at Anfield won’t fill the Spaniard with confidence.

City cruised to a 3-1 win over FC Copenhagen in the Champions League last time out, booking their place in the quarter-finals of the competition in the process.

Guardiola rested a number of key players for the second leg tie, including influential midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian missed several months of the current campaign but has been in sensational form since his return, although it appears that City may face a battle to keep hold of the Belgian.

According to Football Insider, the Manchester cub are expecting to field a huge offer for De Bruyne this summer.

De Bruyne has emerged as a target for Saudi Arabian clubs

The report claims that clubs in Saudi Arabia have identified the Belgium international as a top target ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with Pro League sides prepared to pay more than £100 million to land the midfielder.

De Bruyne, 32, is currently contracted to City until the end of next season.

The midfielder joined the Citizens from German side Wolfsburg back in 2015 and has since established himself as one of the best players in Europe.

In total the former Chelsea man has made 369 appearances for City across all competitions, scoring 98 goals and providing 165 assists.

This season the Belgian has provided 12 assists in 13 games after recovering from a lengthy injury that sidelined him for the majority of the campaign.

The report also claims that unnamed Saudi sides would be willing to offer De Bruyne a lucrative contract to move to the Middle East, although it remains unclear at present whether or not the player himself would be open to the prospect of the move.
