Manchester City will hope to end their dismal run of form when they face Dutch side Feyenoord on Tuesday.

The Citizens suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, extending their losing run to five matches across all competitions.

Manager Pep Guardiola had signed a new contract with the club just 48 hours before Saturday’s defeat at The Etihad, and the Spaniard will be desperate to see his side return to winning ways on Tuesday evening.

Despite the absence of key midfielder Rodri, the remainder of Guardiola’s side’s performances will worry the Spaniard and he will hope to address the issue sooner rather than later.

One player that has been in particularly poor form for City in recent weeks is Kyle Walker, and Football Insider claims that the club’s coaching staff have raised concerns about his performances.

Walker struggled against Tottenham’s counter attack on Saturday

It is claimed that members of Guardiola’s backroom staff have noticed a decrease in the full-back’s pace and willingness to get forward.

Walker, 34, joined the Citizens from Tottenham in 2017 and has since been widely regarded as one of the best right-backs in world football.

In total the Englishman has made 311 appearances for City, winning 17 trophies including six Premier League titles and the Champions League.

Despite his continued importance to both City and England, Walker has been in poor form in recent weeks and struggled against Spurs’ counter attacks on Saturday.

It is claimed that defensive reinforcements have moved up City’s list of transfer priorities in the wake of recent results, with Guardiola’s side having conceded ten goals across their past three games.

Walker has just over 18 months remaining on his current contract with the Manchester club and, despite him playing ten times already this season, it remains unclear whether or not the club will offer him an extension.
