Manchester City remain determined to keep hold of Bernardo Silva despite significant interest from several European giants, reports say.

As per BBC Sport, recent interest from French champions Paris Saint-Germain has had no impact on the Premier League champions, who remain intent on keeping the midfielder.

The Portuguese has been the subject of significant interest from Spanish side Barcelona for much of the summer, although City boss Pep Guardiola has remained insistent that he intends to keep Silva as part of his squad.

Silva is wanted by both Barcelona and PSG

Last summer, the 28-year-old was told he could leave the club to return to Spain for ‘family reasons’ but Barcelona failed to stump up enough money to lure the midfielder to Catalunya.

Now 12 months on, it appears that the Spanish side may have missed their chance to sign the former Monaco man.

Silva arrived from Ligue 1 in 2017 and has since made 253 appearances for The Citizens, scoring 48 goals and providing 50 assists.

In that time, he has also won four Premier League titles.
