Manchester City face Serie A champions Inter Milan in their first friendly of the summer in Hong Kong on Saturday.

This summer has been one of huge change for the Citizens, with Enzo Maresca replacing Pep Guardiola as manager after the Spaniard’s decade-long spell of huge success came to an end.

John Stones and Bernardo Silva also both departed the club at the end of last term, while defender Nathan Ake is among those to have departed The Etihad during this summer’s transfer window.

Now, it appears that another star could be on his way out of the club.

As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, winger Savinho has informed Manchester City that he wishes to leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian joined City from French side Troyes in 2024, having impressed during a loan spell with Spanish outfit Girona; all three clubs are part of the City Football Group.

Since arriving in Manchester, though, Savinho has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for the Citizens.

The winger has scored seven goals and registered 16 assists in 84 games across all competitions for City, but started just seven of their 38 Premier League matches last term.

It is claimed that Savinho has informed City of his desire to leave in order to play more regularly, with the decision now very much in Man City’s hands.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have previously been linked with a move for the Brazilian, and Romano claims that the Lilywhites have held an interest in the player since May and that he remains top of their list of targets.

Savinho’s current contract at The Etihad is set to run until the end of the 2030/31 season.
