The Premier League title race was blown wide open on Sunday as Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by rivals Manchester United.

The Reds went ahead at Old Trafford through Luis Diaz, before Bruno Fernandes drew the hosts level after the break.

Young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo then put the Red Devils in front, before a late Mohamed Salah penalty evened things up.

A point wasn’t enough to return Jurgen Klopp’s side to the summit of the top flight table; they instead sit second, behind leaders Arsenal on goal difference.

Reigning champions Manchester City sit in third place, a single point behind the Gunners and the Reds.

City boss Pep Guardiola is bidding for a fourth consecutive Premier League title, but it appears that he may have been dealt a blow off the pitch.

Silva has been heavily linked with a move away from The Etihad

As per Football Insider, Citizens midfielder Bernardo Silva is keen to leave The Etihad due to the English weather.

The report claims that the Portuguese star is pushing for a move away from Manchester in order to pursue a ‘better style of living’.

Silva, 29, joined City from French side Monaco in 2017 and has since been crucial to Guardiola’s side’s success.

The midfielder has played 345 times for the club across all competitions, scoring 64 goals and providing 63 assists.

Despite his importance to Guardiola’s side, Silva has been heavily linked with a move away from The Etihad during each of the past three transfer windows.

After winning the treble with City last term, Silva was said to be a target for Spanish side Barcelona and French giants Paris Saint-Germain, as well as Saudi Arabian clubs.

A move ever materialised, but the report suggests that Silva’s future remains uncertain with the summer transfer window fast approaching.

Silva’s current contract with City is set to run until the end of the 2025/26 season.
