Pep Guardiola and Manchester City look to be pulling out all the stops this summer.

After reaching the Champions League final only to be pipped to the post by Chelsea last season, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager is looking to the transfer window to take his team to the next level.

Perfection is the minimum for the Catalan manager, but as his squad is blessed with some of the finest players in world football he is only looking for the final pieces to complete his dominant puzzle.

His City side have already won three Premier League titles in four years under his watch, but the crowning glory which is the Champions League title continues to evade his grasp.

Therefore, it is reported by The Athletic, City will be willing to throw £130 million at Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane in a bid to complete their squad.

Kane scored 23 goals and recorded 14 assists in the Premier League for Spurs last season

The respective interest between the England captain and Guardiola’s side had hardly been subtle, with the 28-year-old striker not turning up to Spurs training for the last two days.

Kane has made his desire to move to the Etihad Stadium very public and very obvious, but with three years left on his contract, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is in a position to name whatever transfer fee he likes.

It is reported the Lilywhites are demanding around £150 million for their hitman, but the Citizens are confident they could sign him for £130 million.

This transfer saga is far from over and there will likely be many more twists to this tale.
