Otamendi has made a good start with Man City.

City’s new boy seems to have settled in well at the Etihad after a difficult start to life in English football.

His defensive abilities were certainly needed against rivals Brazil in World Cup Qualifying, as the two teams drew 1-1.

The home side went ahead in the first half, but after Lima levelled, Argentina were put under a great deal of pressure, meaning that Otamendi had to be at his best.

With a difficult Christmas period coming up for City, Otamendi’s main aim will be to keep his place in the squad and perform to the same standard as he did against Brazil.
