Manchester City full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko will be announced as an Arsenal player in the coming days, according to City boss Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard announced the news in a press conference during City’s pre-season tour, thanking the Ukrainian for his efforts during his successful spell with the club.

It appears that City will waste no time in finding Zinchenko’s replacement, though, as they will now open official talks with Brighton and Hove Albion over a deal for Marc Cucurella.

Cucurella scored in Brighton’s 4-0 win over Manchester United last term

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to City in recent weeks, and The Seagulls are now expecting to receive an official bid, reports 90min.

The report claims that, while Brighton are expecting a bid from City, they will likely demand at least £50 million for the defender.

Cucurella, 23, enjoyed a superb debut season in English football, and has been linked with City for several weeks now.

Guardiola is believed to be a huge admirer of the player, who joined Brighton from Spanish side Getafe last summer.
