After the joy of European football returning to our screens this week, it’s time to turn our attention back to the Premier League ahead of the weekend.

It was largely a successful first week on the continent for Premier League sides, with Leicester, Man City and Southampton all opening their European campaigns with comfortable wins, scoring ten goals between them without a goal conceded.

Arsenal meanwhile were lucky to come away from Paris with a point as they held firm in a 1-1 draw with PSG, whilst their London rivals Tottenham, who played their first ‘home’ game at Wembley Stadium against Monaco could not live up to the record-breaking occasion, losing 2-1.

Mourinho’s Man United, who are reluctantly playing their continental football in the Europa League this season, suffered a humbling 1-0 defeat in Rotterdam against Eredivisie side, Feyenoord.

The midweek results, however, mean little going into the domestic fixtures this weekend, which begin with Chelsea v Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.

With that in mind, here are TEN things you need to keep your eye out for in gameweek five…
