Manchester United suffered a second pre-season defeat as they were beaten 2-1 by Premier League rivals Arsenal on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag’s side lost 1-0 to Rosenborg in their first friendly of the summer, before beating Scottish side Rangers 2-0 last time out.

The Red Devils took the lead against the Gunners through Rasmus Hojlund, before goals from Brazilian duo Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli turned the game on its head and earned Mikel Arteta’s side a win.

Ten Hag has already bolstered his squad with the signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro this summer, but it appears that United are still on the hunt for more new signings.

As per Foot Mercato via The Express, United have reached a verbal agreement to sign Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui.

The report claims that the Morocco international has agreed to join the Manchester outfit, although the deal will not be finalised until full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka joins West Ham United.

Mazraoui could be in line to join Manchester United this summer

The Englishman looks likely to join the Hammers this summer, but the report claims that the player hasn’t yet agreed terms with West Ham.

Once the right-back joins the Hammers, Mazraoui’s move to Old Trafford can be finalised.

The 26-year-old joined Bayern in 2022 after his contract with Dutch side Ajax expired, and the defender has since made a total of 55 appearances for the German club across all competitions.

He provided four assists in 29 games for the Bavarian side last term, and it appears that his performances have attracted interest from the Red Devils.

The Moroccan is contracted to Bayern until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, but the report suggests that he could in face join Man United in the coming weeks.
