Manchester United became the first side to secure their place in the fourth round of this season’s FA Cup when they beat Everton on Friday evening.

The Red Devils went ahead early on through Antony but were pegged back by a Conor Coady goal following a shocking error by David de Gea.

In the second half, a Coady own goal put the hosts back ahead, before a late Marcus Rashford penalty ensured it was United who progress to the next round.

Erik ten Hag’s side have now won all five of their matches since returning to action following the World Cup, but despite that it appears that they are still looking for new signings.

According to OKAZ via TalkSPORT, The Red Devils have agreed a deal to sign Al-Nassr striker Vincent Aboubakar on loan.

The Cameroon international currently plays for the Saudi Arabian side that Cristiano Ronaldo recently joined, but it appears that the Portuguese’s arrival may have prompted his exit.

Ronaldo wasn’t able to make his debut for his new side when they faced Al-Ta’ee on Friday as the club has already fulfilled its quote of foreign players, but if Aboubakar leaves it would allow the ex-Manchester United man to be registered and play.

Aboubakar scored an audacious goal against Serbia at the World Cup

Aboubakar, 30, has scored 13 goals in 39 games for Al-Nassr, but has previously played for a number of European clubs including Porto, Lorient and Besiktas.

During his time with Porto, he netted 58 goals in 125 games.

He scored twice at the World Cup in Qatar –  against Serbia and Brazil – as he captained Cameroon.

United have been on the hunt for a striker since Ronaldo’s departure in November last year, but few would have expected Aboubakar to be the player that looks to be on his way to Old Trafford.

Rashford has stepped up his goal scoring output in recent weeks, netting in his last four starts as well as scoring seven times in his last seven matches at Old Trafford.
