Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a £70 million summer move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the Gunners could be ruled out because of the high fee, according to the Mail on Sunday.
Despite not knowing exactly who their manager will be for next season, the Red Devils are going ahead with their summer recruitment plans, which include a deal to sign the Gabon international.
The 26-year-old is under contract with the Bundesliga giants until 2020, but it is thought that he is ready to test himself in the Premier League, with United and Arsene Wenger’s team among the interested clubs.
However, the huge asking price could rule the North London club out of the running, as it would be close to their total summer budget.
Aubameyang has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe this term, scoring 32 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund.
