Turkey will face Austria in the last 16 of Euro 2024 on Tuesday, with a place in the last eight of the competition at stake.

Vincenzo Montella’s side secured their progression to the knockout stages with a 2-1 win over Czech Republic on Wednesday, seeing them through as runners-up in Group F.

That victory set up a last 16 tie with Austria, who defied expectations to finish above both France and The Netherlands in Group D.

Now, though, it appears that one of Turkey’s players has caught the attention of Premier League clubs.

As per reports in Turkey via The Express, both Arsenal and Manchester United have had scouts in attendance at Turkey’s matches, watching full-back Ferdi Kadioglu.

Kadioglu (left) has been in fine form for Turkey at the Euros so far

The report claims that both the Gunners and the Red Devils have been watching the left-back, who can also operate on the right of defence.

Kadioglu, 24, joined current side Fenerbahce from Dutch side Nijmegen in 2018 and has since made 199 appearances for the Turkish side across all competitions.

The report claims that Fenerbahce, now managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho, are expecting to recieve offers for the Turkey international this summer.

Kadioglu has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, and it appears that either Arsenal or United could soon move for the player.

His current contract is set to expire at the end of the 2025/26 season, which puts Fenerbahce under little pressure to sell him during the current transfer window.

Kadioglu previously represented The Netherlands at youth international level, before switching his allegiance to Turkey at senior level.

He has now been capped 18 times by his country, playing every minute of their Euro 2024 campaign so far.
