Going into the international break, Manchester United boast the best form of any side in the Premier League over the past five matches.

Despite their seemingly poor start to the season, the Red Devils have won four of their last five league matches, most recently when battling to a 1-0 victory over Luton Town at Old Trafford on Saturday.

After 18 matches across all competitions, United have lost nine games including three defeats from four Champions League group stage games.

With that in mind, it appears that manager Erik ten Hag is keen to bolster his squad at the next available opportunity.

According to 90min, United have joined the race to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre.

The 22-year-old has attracted attention from clubs all over Europe after an impressive run of displays for the Brazilian club, and the report claims that both United and Tottenham Hotspur have joined fellow Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool in showing an interest in the player.

Fulham are also believed to be admirers of the player, and the Brazilian side’s president has recently confirmed that the Cottagers made a failed attempt to sign Andre, with the player himself opting to stay put until the end of the season.

The report claims that Andre is expected to leave his current club during the upcoming January transfer window, with the Copa Libertadores champions willing to let him leave for a fee of around £30 million.

In total, the defensive midfielder has made 163 appearances for Fluminense across all competitions.

He has made 55 appearances this season, including playing all 120 minutes as Fluminense defeated Boca Juniors 2-1 after extra-time to lift the Copa Libertadores earlier this month.

Andre is currently contracted to Fluminense until December 2026.
