Everton have reportedly joined the hunt to land England Under-20 international Ademola Lookman, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League side, who dropped down to seventh in the English top-flight standings at the weekend following their 5-0 mauling at Stamford Bridge to Chelsea, are understood to keeping close tabs on the highly-rated Charlton Athletic forward.

The 19-year-old winger, who has three international caps for England’s Under-20 side, has scored five goals in 17 appearances in all competitions for the League One outfit so far this season.

However Lookman, who was playing non-league football with Waterloo FC as early as 2014, is also said to be a long-term target for Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

In addition, The Toffees’ new director of football, Steve Walsh, is an admirer of the Addicks ace, hence Everton’s competition.

The report adds that Crystal Palace attempted to land the Young Lion on the final day of the previous transfer window, but Charlton demanded a £10m transfer fee.
