Manchester united are back in action on Saturday when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Red Devils cruised to a 7-0 win over League One side Barnsley in the Carabao Cup in midweek, having beaten Southampton 3-0 in the Premier League just days earlier.

Manager Erik ten Hag will be pleased with the improvement his side have shown since the international break, after watching his side lose 3-0 against Liverpool prior to the Nations League fixtures.

The Dutchman has been under pressure at various points throughout his tenure in Manchester, but he will hope that the convincing win over Barnsley can kickstart a run of good form.

In the meantime, United are said to be chasing a talented young winger.

According to GiveMeSport, the Red Devils are interested in Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan.

The 17-year-old currently plays for Norwegian top flight side Rosenborg, and he has already played more than 50 times for the club at senior level despite his age.

Ten Hag could look to bolster his squad in the January window

It is claimed that the teenager has been of interest to United for some time now, and those in charge of the club’s recruitment could look to agree a deal in January that would see the player joined Ten Hag’s squad next summer.

Nypan is contracted to Rosenborg until the end of the 2025/26 season, but the Norwegian side could cash in on him before he starts to near the expiry of his deal.

The teenager is primarily a central midfielder but has also been deployed as an attacking midfielder and even as a striker.

He has scored ten goals and provided the same number of assists for Rosenborg, who currently sit fifth in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
