Manchester United make the trip to face rivals Chelsea on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils arrive at Stamford Bridge off the back of a 1-1 draw against Brentford last weekend, and they now return to West London to face a struggling Chelsea side.

Mauricio Pochettino has so far endured a tough start to life as Blues boss, and the Argentine will be desperate to see his side end their recent run of poor form against United.

In the meantime, it appears that United have been handed a blow in their pursuit of a Serie A star.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport via TEAMtalk, United target Joshua Zirkzee has asked his agent to arrange him a move to AC Milan.

Zirkzee is reportedly keen to join AC Milan

The forward is currently at fellow Italian side Bolgona, and has impressed so far this season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 31 matches across all competitions.

Zirkzee, 22, joined Bologna from German giants Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, and has since played more than 50 times for his current side.

The forward is said to have attracted interest from both Man United and fellow Premier League side Arsenal, but the report claims that he has his heart set on a move to Milan.

As well as the two English sides, Italian giants Juventus are also credited with an interest in Zirkzee.

A Netherlands under-21 international, Zirkzee is contracted to Serie A side Bolgona until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Man United are set to be in the market for a new forward when the transfer window reopens this summer, despite spending more than £70 million to land Rasmus Hojlund from Serie A side Atalanta last year.
