Manchester United travel to face relegation-threatened Luton Town on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, and manager Erik ten Hag will be hoping to see his side stay in the race for a top four spot by beating the Hatters at Kenilworth Road.

In the meantime, it appears that the Manchester club are chasing a young Bundesliga striker.

As per Sky Sports Germany via 90min, United have made an enquiry about the availability of Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel.

The report claims that the Red Devils are interested in the 18-year-old, who is enjoying a promising second season in Munich.

Tel joined Bayern from French side Rennes in the summer of 2022, and netted six times in 22 games during his first season with the club.

Tel has emerged as a target for Premier League side Manchester United

The teenager has already made 27 appearances so far this season across all competitions, although all 17 of his Bundesliga appearances have come as a substitute.

During his time in France, Tel failed to score in ten appearances across all competitions.

England captain Harry Kane, signed from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, has spearheaded Bayern’s attack all season.

Man United are believed to be in the market for a new forward this summer as Ten Hag looks to bolster his attacking options, and Tel could appeal to the Dutchman as he is capable of playing in several positions across the frontline.

As well as United, two other unnamed Premier League sides are also said to have shown an interest in signing Tel, who has also attracted interest from clubs across Europe.

Last summer, United pursued Kane before the Englishman ultimately moved to Bavaria.
