Manchester United face Premier League rivals West Ham United on Sunday morning.

The Red Devils are currently on tour in the United States and will face the Hammers in New Jersey, before games against Bournemouth and Everton in the coming days.

Ruben Amorim has already added Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to his squad since the end of last season, but it has now emerged that the Manchester giants are eyeing an audacious move for one of the world’s best goalkeepers.

As per CaughtOffside, the Red Devils are keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain star Gianluigi Donnarumma as they look to bolster Amorim’s goalkeeping options.

Current United ‘keeper Andre Onana has struggled ever since arriving at Old Trafford from inter Milan two years ago, and the report claims that Amorim is keen to replace the Cameroonian.

United are said to be willing to accept offers in the region of £20 million for Onana, despite the player himself being keen to prove himself at the club.

Donnarumma, 26, joined PSG from boyhood club AC Milan in 2021 and has now played more than 160 times for the French side across all competitions, keeping 56 clean sheets.

The Italy international is under contract in the French capital until the end of next season, and the report claims that PSG have so far been unsuccessful in persuading the player to sign a new deal and have therefore decided to sell him this summer.

Donnarumma is said to currently earn around £8.7 million annually, but he has so far rejected PSG’s attempts to agree a new deal.

United’s fierce rivals, Manchester City, are also said to have been keeping tabs on Donnarumma’s situation in Paris, with PSG having already lined up Lille’s Lucas Chevalier as a replacement for the Italian.
