Man United have once again sent scouts to cast they eye over Benfica, with winger Goncalo Guedes, the reported focus of their attention, according to reports from Portuguese publication, Record (via Sport Witness).

The 19-year-old has been the subject of repeated views from Red Devils’ scouts, and has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City.

The forward, who has two caps for Portugal to his name, is supposedly high on the wishlist of his compatriot Jose Mourinho, and has been making a case for a move so far this season, scoring once and assisting two goals in eight appearances thus far.

According to Sport Witness, the graduate of the Benfica academy has a release clause in his contract of €60m (around £52m), which means Mourinho will have to take a gamble on his target. However, the sheer size of the price tag may mean that the FA Cup winners face less competition from their Premier League rivals.
